Alyssa Kelso is a fantasy writer residing in Louisville, Kentucky. She grew up in Dayton, Ohio, where she lived as an only child with her mother and father.

As she began her education through home-schooling, her earliest memories were of her mother reading to her. When she began reading on her own she was particularly drawn to fantasy novels, her favorites being “Everlost” by Neal Shusterman and “Peter Pan” by J.M. Barrie. These were the driving force behind her interest in writing fiction, along with her growing interest in gothic literature which came about in her adult life.

Alyssa has been published in Teen Ink magazine for her article "Prodigy: Nature Vs Nurture?" and her poem "Butterflies." She continues to write fiction with an aspiration to publish a novel, along with writing poetry.
